Emirates Towers:
- designed by Norr Group Consultants Int. Ltd. and Hazel W.S. Wong;
- the two buildings are connected by a two-story shopping complex (The Boulevard; 9,000 sq.metres),
with a large parking lot (about 1,000 cars) underneath;
- the hotel tower is the 2nd tallest all-hotel tower in the world (behind Dubai's
Burj Al Arab);
- it's a five-star hotel with 400 rooms and suites;
- building costs of the complex were approximately US$ 490 million;
- the office tower is the tallest building east of New York City and west of Kuala Lumpur;
- the office tower has 17 elevators; five of those serve the top floors
with a maximum travel speed of 420 metres per minute;
- the hotel tower has 12 elevators; the fastest reaching the top floors with a maximum speed of 360 metres per minute;
