Marco drove Formula 3000 from 1987-1991 (International championship). His best result was in 1989,
when he finished 4th overall with 23 points in the First Racing Reynard.
In total, he drove 52 (International) Formula 3000 races, finished 2nd seven times, and had two pole-positions.
From 1992-1997, he drove Formula 3000 and Formula Nippon in Japan.
In 1994 he won the Japanese championship with 52 points and three wins.
In 1999, he drove three races in the Italian Formula 3000 Championship,
winning two of them and finishing 3rd in the championship.
In 1999, he also tried to qualify for another International Formula 3000 race (Spa), but failed.
Today, Marco is still racing in Japan (sportscars).

Unfortunately, Marco never really made it into Formula 1,
despite quite some talent. At the end of the Eighties
and early Nineties, he tested for Minardi, Modena, Bridgestone,
and Dome Mugen Honda, but only managed to do one Grand Prix start:
at the 1994 Italian Grand Prix in a Jordan. He qualified 23rd,
but his race ended after a shunt at the first corner.
