Julian had a rather frustrating season at Tyrrell in 1988, scoring no points,
and only qualifying for six of the 16 races he attended. His best finish was a 9th place.
In 1991, he drove the Lotus for a couple of races. In the only race he made the grid,
he finished 6th and took his only F1 point. After another non-qualification,
he was replaced and his Formula 1 career over.
Bailey went on to drive sportscars and touring cars.
In 1999, he was BRDC British GT Champion and in 2000 FIA GT Champion.
