Above: German Michael Bartels stepped into Formula 1 in the middle of the 1991 season.
He was a pay-driver for the second Lotus cockpit.
In the four Grand Prix weekends he was in action, he was never able to qualify for a race.
On the pictures you can see Bartels while driving the Lotus around Hockenheim, and Hungaroring (left).
These days, Michael Bartels is active as a driver in the FIA GT Championship.
