Christian Fittipaldi is the son of former Formula 1 driver Wilson Fittipaldi, and nephew of
two-times F1 World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi.
He stepped into the footsteps of his famous family members,
when he made his Formula 1 debut with Minardi in 1992.
Although doing a better job in F1 than his father, he was never able to come close
to the achievements of his uncle and after only three years, Christian left Formula 1.
He went across the Atlantic to the United States next where he raced CART for eight years.
He had ups and downs, wins and heavy injuries, but the ultimate goal, a title, eluded him.
His best results were a 2nd place in the Indy 500 of 1995 and two wins in 1999 and 2000.
He then raced in NASCAR (2003) and Grand-Am (2004),
and in 2005 he went back to Brazil racing Brazilian Stock-cars.
