Above: Eric van de Poele in Modena-Lamborghini in 1991,
at Magny Cours, the Hungaroring and at Hockenheim.
In two frustrating Formula 1 years, Eric tried to qualify for 29 races for three different teams.
He only qualified for five races, with a best result of 9th at San Marino in 1991 with the Modena;
the only race he did with the Modena in 1991.
Eric was more succesful in other categories of motor-sport, with several wins in touring cars and sportscars,
and a runner-up position in the 1990 Formula 3000 championship.
