Luis Perez-Sala contested the Italian Formula 3 championship before
making his debut in Formula 3000 in 1986, winning two races.
In 1987, he was runner-up to Stefano Modena, before making his F1 debut in 1988 with Minardi.
In two years with Minardi, in which he was no more than a backmarker,
he scored one championship point; at the 1989 British Grand Prix.
After his Formula 1 career, Luis went on to drive touring cars and GT category cars.
In 1993, he was Spanish touring car champion.
