taken from the opposite side of the River Main.

Above right: view from Henninger Turm of a part of Frankfurt's skyline.
Seen here are among others (l-r): Pollux (130m/427f) and Kastor (95m/312f),
with rising above Kastor, MesseTurm (257m/843f).
Next to MesseTurm is City-Haus (142m/469f, 42 stories, 1974),
Plaza Büro Center (Marriott Hotel) (159m/523f) and Westend Strasse #1 (208m/682f).

Above: six pictures of Silver Tower (166m/546f, 32 stories, 1978)
It was Frankfurt's tallest from 1978 until 1990, when MesseTurm took over.

Above: pictures of Plaza Büro Center (Marriott Hotel) (159m/523f, 47 stories, 1976).
This building was the city's tallest from 1976-1978.

Above: one of my personal favourites of Frankfurt, the Twin Towers of the Deutsche Bank.
Colour wise they look very differently from the ground than they do seen from other buildings.
Because of the special glass the buildings look differently as well in every kind of type of weather.
They were completed in 1984, are 155m (509f) tall and have 40 and 38 stories respectively.

Above: one of the most recent additions to the skyline of Frankfurt:
Skyper (154m/505f, 38 stories, 2004).
Pictures 1, 3 and 5 were taken in 2004, when the building was in its final stages of construction.

Above: four pictures of City-Haus (142m/466f, 42 stories, 1974),
Frankfurt's tallest from 1972-1974.

Above: Eurotower (148m/486f, 39 stories, 1977). Headquarters of the European Central Bank.

Above: Frankfurter Büro Center (142m/466f, 40 stories, 1980).

Above: Gallileo (136m/446f, 38 stories, 2003).

Above: Pollux (130m/427f, 33 stories, 1997).

Above left: Messe Torhaus (117m/384f, 30 stories, 1985).
Above middle left: not one of the tallest of Frankfurt, but definitely one of the city's best looking:
Japan Center (115m/377f, 27 stories, 1996).

Above middle: Westhaven Tower (112m/368f, 31 stories, 2003).
Above middle right: Union Investment (93m/305f, 19 stories, 1977).
This building was renovated a few years ago.
Above right: IBC Tower (112m/367f, 30 stories, 2003).

Above: Kastor (95m/312f, 22 stories, 1997).
The first picture shows Kastor together with Pollux;
This picture was taken from the roof of Trianon in 2001.

Above: Yet another greatly looking skyscraper of Frankfurt:
MAIN Plaza, Frankfurt's tallest residential building (88m/289f, 24 stories, 2001).
The building houses a hotel as well.
In picture #1 Henninger Turm can be seen in the background.
On another picture, the building can be seen standing next to the Flösserbrücke (1986).
Some of the pictures were taken at dusk.

Above: Radisson SAS (87m/285f, 20 stories, 2005).
It is situated a little outside of the downtown area.

Above left and middle: WestendDuo (96m/315f, 26 stories, 2006).
The most recent -tall- addition to the skyline of Frankfurt.
Above middle right: Rhein-Main-Center (84m/276f, 22 stories, 1969).
Above right: Europaturm (331m/1,086f, 1979), Frankfurt's tallest structure.
The tower is not accessible to the public (anymore;
the observation area was closed down in 1999).

Above left: Eurotower, Japan House, twin towers of the Deutsche Bank
and Commerzbank Zentrale seen from Henninger Turm.
Above middle: view from the top of MesseTurm, with (l-r): the twin towers of the Deutsche Bank (155m/509f),
Trianon (186m/610f), MAIN TOWER (200m/656f), Commerzbank Tower (259m/860f),
Frankfurter Büro Center (142m/466f), Eurotower (148m/486f), Westend Strasse #1 (208m/682f)
and City-Haus (143m/469f).
