Some KölnTurm facts & figures:

- the building is situated in the northwest of Cologne, Germany; in the MediaPark area.
It symbolises Cologne’s claim to be the centre of the German media industry.

the 243m/798f tall telecommunications tower, which can be found only a few blocks from KölnTurm;
- designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel, with Kohl und Kohl Architekten, and Georg Heckmann;
- the building has a double glass façade which is decorated with etchings of clouds and translucent pictures of old buildings of Cologne,
including the Dom, and aeroplanes; A new method was used for this creatively designed façade.
The enamel for the motifs of the silhouettes is branded into the panes and is therefore weather resistant.
400 different screens were used, so that the pictures appear to move when reflected in daylight
