- the shape of the building is based on a sprouting bamboo shoot;
- building costs were approximately 160 million US$;
- about 6,000 people work in the building;
- the building has nine outdoor sky gardens, for rest and relaxation purposes;
- the building was officially opened on February 10, 2003
by Malaysia's Prime Minister;
- the tower is part of a complex that also consists of a large theatre and exhibition halls;
