Above: Singapore seen from the air on a flight into Singapore from Kuala Lumpur.
The first and largest picture shows the Central Business District (CBD) -left- and the Marina Centre -right- area's.
The second picture is a close-up of the CBD; the third a close-up of the Marina Centre area.
They are not the best of pictures, but regarding the fact that they were shot from a flying plane
through a small plane-window, not that bad either after all.

Above: three night shots of the skyline of Singapore.
On the left picture, you can see Maybank Tower in front.
On the right picture, the two United Overseas Bank Plaza's I and II.

Above left: the 'silvery' Maybank Tower (175m/575f, 32 stories, 2001), the white Bank of China Building
(new block) (168m/551f, 36 stories), and the brown coloured 6 Battery Road (174m/571f, 44 stories, 1984)
seen from the 66th floor of the Swissôtel the Stamford Singapore.
I may be mistaken, but I have a feeling that the heights mentioned above (as always courtesy of
Skyscrapers.com) are not quite correct. If you look at the first picture the Maybank Tower and Bank
of China Building (new block) are taller than the 6 Battery road building on the right.
So, either the figure of 174m/571f of 6 Battery Road is wrong or the 175m/575f height figure of
Maybank Tower is not correct. The 168m/551f figure of Bank of China Building is definitely not
correct, since the building is a few metres taller than 6 Battery Road, and almost as tall as
the Maybank Tower.
Above middle left: street view of the Maybank Tower and Bank of China Building.
Above middle right: looking up the Bank of China Building and 6 Battery Road.
This picture is from 2000, when the Maybank Tower was just under construction (see left of picture).
The Bank of China Building was built a couple of years ago,
next to a 18-story 1954 building with the same name and the same colour.
Above right: 6 Battery Road (174m/571f, 44 stories, 1984), with Bank of China Building
on the left, and Singapore Land Tower (190m/623f, 48 stories, 1980) on the right behind it.

Above left: Centennial Tower (158m/517f, 37 stories, 1997), with Conrad Hotel in front.
The picture was taken from the 65th floor of the Swissôtel the Stamford Singapore.
Above middle left and middle: Springleaf Tower (165m/541f, 37 stories, 2002),
a side and front view, respectively.
Above middle right: International Plaza (190m/624f, 50 stories, 1976),
with next to it on the left, Temasek Tower (235m/770f, 52 stories, 1986).
Above right: Singapore Land Tower (190m/623f, 48 stories, 1980)
seen behind the top of United Overseas Bank Plaza Two.
The building was refurbished earlier this century and among other things
got a new designed top.

Above: the Suntec City Buildings I, II, III and IV.
All four are 181 metres tall (593f), have 45 stories and were completed in 1997).
Also notice the fountain in front of the buildings on the roundabout.
It's the largest fountain in the world.
The middle picture was taken from the Swissôtel the Stamford Singapore's 65th floor.

Above left and middle left: United Overseas Bank Plaza Two, the smaller of two towers
seen during the day and at night (162m/531f, 38 stories).
Although the building looks quite similar to its taller brother, the tower is much older
and was refurbished a couple of years ago to resemble UOB Plaza I.
Above middle right and right: SIA Building, or Singapore Airlines Building (176m/576f, 40 stories, 1998).

Above left: DBS Building (186m/610f, 50 stories, 1975).
Above middle left: CPF Building (171m/561f, 45 stories, 1976),
with DBS Building behind it.
Above middle right: Pickering Operations Complex (177m/581f, 43 stories, 1989),
seen from the Swissôtel the Stamford Singapore's 66th floor.
Above right: street view of The Concourse (175m/573f, 42 stories, 1995).

Above left: close up of a part of the skyline of Singapore, with from left to right,
the historic 1928 The Fullerton, behind it the HSBC Building (21 stories, no other info available),
behind that building the top of Hitachi Tower (166m/545f, 37 stories, 1993),
and then from l-r: Maybank Tower, Bank of China Building, and 6 Battery Road.
Above right: view towards the Marina area,
with Conrad Hotel, Centennial Tower, Millenia Tower, and the Pan Pacific Hotel.
Both pictures were taken from the top floors of the Swissôtel the Stamford Singapore.
Many thanks to the management of the Swissôtel the Stamford Singapore
for their kind cooperation.
